Contents of Heat Packs
Heat Packs are soft light weight pads containing a mixture of iron powder, charcoal, salt, sawdust, and vermiculite.
Heat packs are air activated. On opening the packet and exposing the heating pack to oxygen in the air, an oxidation process takes place within the pack generating heat.
The contents of a heat pack are biodegradable. Unopened, heat packs normally have a best before date of three years from date of manufacture.
